This article emphasizes the need for integrating the Planetary Boundaries framework, Green Chemistry, and the UN sustainable development goals in a systems thinking approach in undergraduate education and outreach. This article also describes using systems thinking as a framework in science education in outreach to teach students the relevance of chemistry while also creating a platform for underrepresented groups to learn the importance of their representation in attaining a sustainable and equitable future.
