This article presents an interdisciplinary course targeting undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D students to develop systems thinking skills. The need for this course arises from the fragile stability of the climate, ecosystems, and societies, and the need for chemists and scientists of other disciplines to work together to maintain the earth system. Regular chemistry courses need to be reimagined to meet the needs of the earth system, and a valuable proposition is the described interdisciplinary chemistry course which emphasizes complex systems across disciplines.
