Using the IUPAC Systems Thinking in Chemistry for Sustainability: 2030 and Beyond (STCS 2030+) project, this article provides an educational framework for chemistry instructors to integrate systems thinking into their classrooms. A systems thinking approach enhances student understanding and ability to solve the global issues outlined by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
